    • The video is apparently a bit outdated, since numerous GW have meanwhile been detected. Of course, that doesn’t change the overall importance of the lecture.

    • Are they both difficult to detect or are we ignorant to do so??

    • technically Einstein was correct for his space time… they could not detect gravitational waves; but in our space time continuum we can… I think that is an lol moment because we are talking about measure them in space/time… so he wasn’t “wrong”… made me giggle kind of thing.

      • would it be better to develop sensory technology rather than building bigger detectors? Either way if I had a vote we would be building a holistic moon observatory. Great class, thanks!

      When we see how Keck observatory improves by lasering the 90 km high sodium crust, we see innovation.

      It used to be we all though space was the place to be for research, but this may not be a full story.

      Space does have benefits, an immense job opportunities in the field, but Alaska is nearby and circumpolar science is something people have yet to call space without being there.

      I do like LISA at L1 & L5.

      It is a great idea. But does LIGO success end LISE continuity? I think this is why the funding from the Usa abandons LISE. But also, LISE is said to come online yet wait for ten year results.

      Before hearing LIGO history of a gap between 2002 & 2015 when Ligo had no results, I wouldn`t think a gap in LISE could make it any think but a spook project.
