Ok what’s really confusing me is in the train experiments, if you set the train to travel at it’s fastest speed, the “burst” of light seems to reach the back of the train from the viewpoint of the platform observers before the burst of light even gets to the back of the train for observers on the train. I don’t know if this is just the experiment being faulty or not. But it implies that the platform observers are seeing the signing happen by the president at the back of the train before the president even sees the light burst.
