  • yes. if v=c, we can say that the light particle isnt moving at all with respective to the moving clock, or its moving parallel to the bottom(or top) of the light clock without rising at all

I was thinking the same too when I think about whether is the past present ad future are real or not. yes, they are real for each person in his world and his perspective. and one person’s past can be different from the other person’s, but there is a past i.e the passage of time

the formula deals about one of the most mindboggling concepts ever, so holding nerve without trying to know how is it possible is a bit difficult but as we have so many other works, we tend to go on with the process and wait until you derive

what if we see the motion of the earth from a satellite from the moon? we need not to be in one of those objects right?

The main objective of special relativity is what phenomenal changes occur when we move with tremendous speeds(i.e closer to light speed). So, u can’t expect an example closer to reality!

3’s like that because he was writing in an uncomfortable position on the board. He just can’t stop writing in the middle, notice how he normally writers 3 on the board when he was in a nice position to write

Yes, that’s what happens. Imagine the train is moving and when the origin of the train comes to the position of the x’, the same thing happens to the train origin as well. Dialation is happening from before, but we can we more clearly when train reaches that position, as you wanted to check both of the origins

I think the length contraction didn’t make the time to run slow. We are just replacing the contracted length from the perspective of the viewers on platform, and deriving the time dialation according to that length.

not days but seasons as the earth moves in its orbit
