mankind is intelligent, curious, passionate and resilient when it comes to uncovering the nature of our universe, so i really don’t see why we won’t be able to put down a theory of everything
May 10, 2021 at 7:07 amThe density of the block would increase by a factor of (gamma)^2 due to Lorentz contraction by a factor gamma and increase in mass by a factor of gamma
May 5, 2021 at 7:10 amso if we consider the earth to be at rest wrt to the circular space we can say that since gracie will be traversing a circular path when viewed from 3D perspective, and sice objects moving in a circular path do experience acceleration, we can say that george will be older (as he is at rest with respect to the circular space).
May 1, 2021 at 5:21 ami believe the outcome would depend on their own perspectives
April 25, 2021 at 7:47 ami feel that introducing space time diagrams after teaching the features of time dilation, length contraction, asynchronous clocks and Lorentz transformation is a good decision as at first we learn what we should see by looking at the equations presented for each of these and then showing the geometrical interpretation allows us to visualize clearly each of the above mentioned effects clearly and gives us a good intuition for these effects
April 24, 2021 at 2:13 ami believe that the method used is correct as, since no frame is non-inertial, we can interchange the values by switching frames to get the results that we need
April 19, 2021 at 6:34 amYes, i belivie it would work as long as the baseball doesn’t face any external force and provided we know the velocity at which the ball is projected.
March 30, 2021 at 9:35 amyes, we would as the angle on inclination is perpendicular to the direction of motion of the train
March 27, 2021 at 10:30 pm@timothy, yea, precisely, light doesn’t move along the time axis at all as it cannot experience time due to it’s speed, so for light it is instantaneously starting and reaching it’s destination

March 27, 2021 at 8:51 amcan we say that the photon doesn’t miss the top part of the light clock due to the initial horizontal velocity given to in when it started to move
December 6, 2020 at 6:49 ami was beyond blown away when i found about what the statement of relativity of simultaneity, but when it was explained with the correct assumption of the constancy of the speed of light, i realized that this actually made a lot of sense.
