The past and the future are equally as real as the fleeting precent what we class as the present itself may need reevaluating but it is clear that a far away observer looking at earth would see a completely different time to the one we are currently living in even if they were to be instantly transported there.

You can not it wouldn’t extend your life as in the years you count till your death implying you still count years in the same way we do now while on your near light speed journey. However you could traverse a larger portion of space then you would have travelled only experience the normal speeds on Earth so you could say you existed further along In time but that does not extend the amount of time you have actually lived for.

Yes it still seems incredible to me… only thing stranger is when I think about the fact that an objects journey to the depth of a black hole is instantaneous but on hold for possibly billions of years for us.

We can say Earth is spinning on its axis while revolving round the sun because we experience day and night seperately. If it was not spinning the day and night phenomana i think, would not occur daily , in some place there would be complete darkness and in someplace it would be daytime.

Yes. Teaching is a great way to learn. It allows for us to correct our own understanding. In the words of Oppenheimer, “the best way to learn is to teach

I think LIGO, along with experiment facilities like CERN provide good reason to pursue science. LIGO in particular, shows how we must not give up on science. And it really fills people like me with tons of curiosity.
