Schematic demonstrating a spin of 1/2. When an object of spin 1 rotates 360°, it returns to its original orientation. For an object of spin 1/2, it takes two revolutions for a total of 720° of rotation to return to its original orientation. Adjust the slider from 0 to 360° to 720° to see how this configuration requires two revolutions to return to its original orientation.
