10.2 Elapsed Time on a Moving Clock

This interactive demonstration uses a light clock to show that the faster a clock rushes by us, the slower we will claim that the clock ticks off time. Use the slider to choose the speed of the clock. Press the start button and notice that the larger the speed, the longer the trajectory of the bouncing light ball—and so the slower the moving clock ticks.
