16.3 Motion’s Effect on Space
You noted that objects are only Lorentz contracted along their direction of motion. Can you review that argument?
If an object in motion shrinks, what force is compressing it?
If anyone with non-changing motion can claim to be at rest, then from George’s perspective is Gracie (and the Platform) Lorentz contracted as well?
If two sets of observers each say the other is contracted, does this lead to a contradiction or a paradox?
If two observers in relative motion don't agree on durations and lengths, what do they agree on? Anything?
