26.7 Full Coordinate Grid in the Moving Frame
demonstration
demonstration

In this demonstration, we combine the understanding of the previous two demonstrations by exploring the entire coordinate system of a moving frame. Use the slider to choose the velocity of the moving frame. Observe how the $(t^\prime,x^\prime)$ axes rotate inward. Notice that both axes always rotate less than 45º, reflecting that $v$ is always less than $c$. Then click the button to show the rest of the moving frame’s grid. Use the slider to change the velocity of the moving frame and observe how all the grid lines rotate.
