Based on the number of detection that we have been seeing since the inception of Advanced LIGO, I think the gravitation waves from Binaries were always there and now we have the technology to detect them. Hope we can make it more precise to detect more and have better understanding of the universe.
Regarding Luck, i believe that “Luck” is nothing but, all the forces of the universe agreeing on something. As we donot fully understand the universe, we cannot predict Luck, thats all.September 19, 2020 at 8:27 amYes, every negative result should also be widely explained which will help the other experimental physicists to take the learning and move forward. This will help in saving lot of time and cost.
September 19, 2020 at 8:23 amI believe that technological advancements will contribute to the understanding our universe, like sending space exploration missions like voyager etc. However, we are 3 dimensional beings and have limited knowledge of the other dimensions are lesser knowledge of many things like why entropy exists etc. this will restrict our understanding of the data that we have. So, more than technology, i feel our brains should evolve to understand more about the universe.
September 19, 2020 at 7:44 amThe presence of Dark Matter is required to be established and proved to really understand if it has any gravitational effect.
August 31, 2020 at 9:36 amI believe in the fact the consciousness plays a pi-vital role in understanding oneself. That being said, i feel consciousness is one of the outcome of the survival instincts of any living being, which makes us to believe that it is the only true knowledge. I believe that mathematics is something which describes the world most elegantly and it does not have any element or constant for consciousness in it. 🙂
August 30, 2020 at 8:25 amIt is always essential to look backwards and understand the process of our evolution. This gives us the insights of how conciseness and our senses have developed over thousands/millions of years, which will further help is decoding our present understanding of our 3 dimensional world and opening the limits of our brain to more hidden dimensions. I hope we have a timeline from the date of which the hominids have evolved into us and a classification of whose roots come from where. This will change the perspective at which we look at the artificial barricades of religion, color etc. and give a sense of unity amount all of us.
August 30, 2020 at 7:46 amI think peer review and fact check of a finding are very much important before declaring the discovery of a fossil, because we cannot risk giving incorrect information.
August 29, 2020 at 9:35 amThe motivation comes from the curiosity to understand or answer a question, combined with the passion in a subject. Any long drawn tasks, without these ingredients is unlikely to continue the efforts in long run.
August 29, 2020 at 8:30 am“Gravity” has been a unexplored territory to experimentation due to the low frequencies and extreme sensitivity required for measuring. LIGO has brought in a proof that gravitational valves exist and it has stunned the world with its 2016 observation. As Dr. Rai Weiss has explained, one achieving the further low freq. detections, we can expect a lot to come in this field.
August 25, 2020 at 9:12 amI feel that laws, with deeper emphasis for the development of idea, should be in place for streamlining this process
August 15, 2020 at 7:27 amIt’s a total ‘Yes’.
There are so many unanswered question which we get in our mind while teaching or even explaining a simple concept of idea to someone, that our brain starts to think in the right direction to get such answers. this leads to enormous amounts of self learning and thought clarityAugust 15, 2020 at 6:48 amThe video is insightful about the journey from how the whole concept of Gravitational Waves started from the Einstein’s feild equations till the experiments that have been carried our from 1940s. First with the bar and then with the concept of sending light between 2 masses.
