There’s no contradiction. There is only one discrete outcome, which is either the bundle explodes or it doesn’t, regardless of whether they agree on that fact or they don’t.

I wonder if, in a spaceship, at some point in the middle of accelerating—around geometric midpoint v=c•sqrt(2)/2 ≈ 70%c — we start noticing that spacelike features in spacetime are actually indistinguishable from, or at least very similar to, those of timelike features. Interesting.

November 17, 2021 at 4:43 pmI think we’re assuming some kind of homogeneity and anisotropy of the region of spacetime within which we make our observations about relativity of simultaneity. I’d question if these observations would change, and how exactly, in more complicated surroundings like, e.g. within the ergosphere or between the event horizons of a Kerr (rotating) black hole. Or even a charged hole maybe. Would the frame dragging effects somehow kick in and make the relativity of simultaneity effects get redistributed nonuniformly? And how exactly? This is probably one thing about physics that I might find stranger.

with v•w the (normalized) dot product of the velocities (implying the factor of cosine of the angle between directions)…
November 8, 2021 at 6:41 pmThis is a bit like the software dev vs. test dilemma. I’m more on the dev side, so theoretical. Others like experimental, quality assurance and chaos engineering. It’s all a matter of personal preference, I believe.
November 7, 2021 at 7:00 pmI’m skeptical. Is that equation going to have a finite number of degrees of freedom? Or countable even? Will that be provable or a NP-hard problem? Also, in my humble experience, most physical (or dynamical) systems exhibit chaotic behavior, in time, even the simplest ones. How about in a frame-dragged spacetime instead?
So even such an equation would exist, it would most probably only limit the space of possible solutions, but probably be not very good at specific predictions. Only time will tell. Fingers crossed.
