  • nice lesson

Science, day night cycles, seasons, weather patterns, etc. etc. etc.

this is good no matter how many times I see it.

Gray’s are a type of alien aren’t they? If Brian is attracting alien life to express their opinion about physics he must be way more than a theologian. He must really know what he’s talking about huh?

now that that’s out of the way, just went through Brian’s course on special relativity and it was amazing. So much knowledge has to be a boon to mankind and not a gray road block. So please Brian keep up the good work so we can gain even more knowledge of the Universe and life on Earth!

when you apply an even force to an object its speed and mass will remain the same. where as if an object alone is at speed it will be affected by so many other forces drag, gravity, light pressure, etc., etc., the force applied by you keeps ahead of these other forces.

so in more non-relativistic terms a fast moving low mass object, say a piece of straw in a tornado, has enough mass to puncture a telephone pole. I think I’ve got that right, what do you think?

EMCee squared huh. Faster equals heavier, so I should stop to weigh in so I’ll weigh less? And take a run to gain weight? I know no-one can run at relativistic speed, the concept is nice though. don’t you think?

Spacey Wacey timey wimey, we’ll all get old if we stay on Earth. oops too late I’m old already.

instantaneously synching clocks while going 12/13c on a clock that’s coming at you at 12/13c no stop to adjust the clock and no time for re-accelerating, yep I’m getting used to ignoring reality., excellent brain eats though. and my mind is so hungry atm.

I want to be the observer in the ship, I’ve always wanted to travel through time, but wait, I’m already traveling through time. In fact I’ve already traveled 63yrs. into the future.

from their perspective they would have to watch the clocks on the pole to grab so the pole will keep moving while they each take turns grabbing the pole when timer reaches x, so some of them will be outside by the time the others all grab the pole. the pole itself will still be the same length. that is from my own perspective so as my wife would say ‘it’s wrong’.

Who would have thought srt could be so dangerous. of course though Hiroshima and Nagasaki would. as physics would say ‘ it’s all about perspective ‘

hmm, wooden pole now in splinters, metal pole shattered, glass pole same, gel pole now to fat to grip and fills the barn killing all. so sad.
